Last Seconds of Summer: Behind Poise Society’s Newest Drop
There’s something about the last few weeks of summer that always feels a little nostalgic.
The days start getting shorter, routines slowly return, and the pieces you wore all season somehow become tied to the memories you made in them.
That feeling inspired our newest collection Last Seconds of Summer.
Launching September 22 at 11 AM EST, the drop introduces The Club Set in green stripe and pink stripe, matching shorts, and Poise hats.
But getting here took time.
A Collection Worth Taking Time On
For founder Natalie Gillis, creating a new Poise collection has never been about getting something out as quickly as possible.
It’s about getting it right.
With Last Seconds of Summer, Natalie took her time finding the right materials and refining the details until the collection felt exactly how she imagined it.
Because when you’re creating something meant to become part of someone’s everyday life, the fabric matters. The fit matters. And how you feel when you put it on matters.
Sometimes that means slowing down, making another adjustment, or waiting a little longer for something you know can be better.
Last Seconds of Summer is the result of that process.
The Nostalgia Behind the Stripes
There’s something instantly nostalgic about a stripe.
It feels like summers you wish lasted a little longer. Like the outfits you packed for every trip, threw on after a day outside, and somehow ended up wearing more than anything else in your closet.
That feeling became part of the inspiration behind The Club Set.
Available in green stripe and pink stripe, the collection brings that familiar, nostalgic feeling into the Poise world while still feeling fresh, elevated, and easy to wear.
It’s playful. A little nostalgic. And still completely Poise.
Behind the Scenes of Building Poise
The finished collection is only one part of the story.
Natalie has continued to share what building Poise actually looks like behind the scenes, including the ideas, samples, changes, shoots, travel, and decisions that happen long before a collection reaches the website.
When Poise celebrated its first birthday, she shared a behind-the-scenes look at bringing the birthday collection to life, offering a glimpse into a side of the brand you don’t always see in the finished campaign.
Last Seconds of Summer carries that same intention.
The final pieces may look effortless, but getting them there rarely is.
