Behind The Scenes Of Planning A Fitness Pop-Up

Behind The Scenes Of Planning A Fitness Pop-Up

Planning a fitness pop-up looks a lot more calm on the outside than it actually is. From the outside, it is an event. A class, a space, a few brands, a cute setup. But behind the scenes, it is weeks of small decisions that all have to come together at the exact same time.

For Poise Society, these events are not just about launching products. Pop-ups are one of the most intentional parts of building Poise because they bring the brand into real space. Instead of only introducing clothing online, these events allow people to step into the world of Poise in a physical way, where movement, connection, and community all exist at the same time.

The process usually starts with space. We look for venues that already feel aligned with the energy of the brand. Not just functional, but something that feels open, clean, and welcoming. The kind of place where people immediately feel comfortable walking in.

Then comes building the experience around it. We connect with fitness studios and instructors who set the tone for the day. The movement piece is important because it reflects what Poise is actually about, clothing that supports real movement and real life. Everything builds from there.

At the same time, there are dozens of other layers happening. Coordinating inventory so every guest has their set ready. Working with partners like wellness brands, matcha bars, and local creators who add to the experience without overpowering it. Planning content so the moment is captured in a way that feels natural, not staged. And constantly problem solving as details shift, change, or evolve up until the last minute.

No two events ever feel the same in the planning stage. There are always small fires to put out, timelines that shift, and moments where things feel like they are coming together and falling apart at the same time. It has a lot of moving parts, and it rarely feels as polished as it looks in the final result.

But that is also what makes it meaningful.

Because once the event actually starts, everything shifts. People arrive, move through the class, stay after to talk, take photos, try on pieces, and connect. The energy becomes the focus, not the logistics.

Our upcoming PS Sport Charleston Event on May 10, 2026 at The Waverly is a reflection of everything we are building towards. A morning that starts with a guided Pilates class, flows into matcha, conversation, gifting, and time spent in the new PS Sport collection. A space where movement and community exist together, not separately. Every part of the day is designed to feel intentional but natural, structured but still easy. Nothing forced, just a space that allows people to move, connect, and experience the brand in real time.

What always stands out most is not the setup or the product, but the people. Conversations happen naturally, new connections form, and the energy in the room feels shared instead of separate. People stay longer than expected, not because they have to, but because the environment feels good to be in.

That is the real purpose behind these events.

To create something people can feel, not just shop. A moment that reflects what Poise has always stood for, movement, confidence, and community in everyday life.
