A Year in the Making: Behind the Scenes of Our First Birthday Collection

Exactly one year ago, Poise Society was just an idea.

What started with one oversized crewneck has grown into a community centered around slowing down, moving your body, sharing matcha with friends, and finding confidence in the everyday moments.

To celebrate our first birthday, I wanted to create more than just another clothing collection. I wanted to create a campaign that felt like everything Poise Society has become over the past year.

After months of designing, sampling, planning, and countless revisions, we finally brought that vision to life.

From packing my car in Tampa before sunrise to driving across Florida, meeting our community for matcha, and spending sunset on the beach capturing our campaign, this video documents one of the most meaningful days in Poise Society's first year.

Bringing the Birthday Collection to Life

The Birthday Collection represents everything we've learned during our first year as a small business.

For the first time, we developed an entire lifestyle collection that brings together pieces designed for every part of your day—from slow mornings to movement to winding down at night.

This collection includes:

• Everyday activewear
• Sleepwear
• Matching accessories
• New colorways
• Limited birthday pieces

Every product went through multiple rounds of development before making it into the final collection. Because we manufacture our pieces in the USA, every sample, fit adjustment, and production decision was made intentionally to create pieces you'll reach for long after this collection launches.

Behind the Campaign Photoshoot

Our campaign day started before sunrise.

After picking up Matcha from Casa Azul, I drove from Tampa to Jacksonville with my entire campaign packed into the car.

The day included:

• Meeting two groups of incredible girls from our community for UGC content
• Creating lifestyle content at a local coffee shop
• Photographing every piece from the Birthday Collection
• Capturing sunset campaign images on the beach
• Filming behind-the-scenes moments for YouTube

Seeing everything finally come together after months of preparation was one of the most rewarding moments since starting Poise Society.

More Than a Clothing Brand

When I launched Poise Society, I hoped clothing could become a way to bring people together.

Over the past year, we've hosted wellness events, traveled to new cities, collaborated with local matcha shops, and built friendships through a shared love of slowing down and creating intentional moments.

This Birthday Collection is a celebration of all of that.

It's a reminder that the best things often take time.
